I just finished Beneath a Scarlet Sky
and I can’t say enough about it. It’s an excellent read and a beautiful historical fiction.
I absorbed more about WWII than ever, seen through the events unfolding for the protagonist, Pino.
For optimism and sense of history, consider Beneath a Scarlet Sky.
